These terms apply to Meduo: Family Health Companion (the "App") for iPhone and iPad, created by Alexander Rohr (the "Developer"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These terms supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to your use of the App.
Not medical advice
Meduo is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified health professional. Always follow the instructions of your healthcare providers.
Medication and appointment reminders are a convenience. They depend on your device's settings, notification permissions, battery, and software, and may not always be delivered. Do not rely on the App as your only way to remember medications or appointments.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Your information
Information you enter is stored on your device and, if iCloud is turned on, in your own iCloud account. The Developer does not receive or store it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
When you add records for other people, such as children or family members you care for, you are responsible for having the right to keep and manage their information.
You are responsible for keeping your device, passcode, and Apple Account secure. Jailbreaking your device removes security protections and may cause the App to stop working correctly.
Meduo Premium
The App is free to download. Some features require Meduo Premium, an annual auto-renewing subscription purchased through the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings at any time.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion ends when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
If Premium ends, information you entered in Premium features stays on your device and in iCloud, but you may not be able to view or edit it in the App until you subscribe again.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, or to create derivative works from it, except as allowed by law.
Intellectual property
The App and its design, software, text, and images are owned by the Developer and protected by intellectual property laws. The Meduo name and icon may not be used without permission.
Internet connection
Most of the App works without an internet connection. iCloud sync and pharmacy search need one, and your mobile carrier's data charges may apply.
Third-party services
The App uses services provided by Apple, including iCloud, Apple Maps, the Calendar, and the App Store. Those services are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies. The App and this website may also link to other websites that the Developer does not control.
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information stored in it will always be available, accurate, or complete. Keep your own copies of important health records, for example by exporting a PDF summary.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, health outcomes, or other losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Changes to the App and these terms
The Developer may update, change, or stop offering the App or its features at any time. These terms may also be updated from time to time, and changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising under these terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the relevant territory.
